Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote greater reverence for life, truth and beauty, and to explore the hopes and fears of our inter-connectedness. In the midst of the mysteries and crises that will continue to challenge our imagination and will, we believe that the written word--in poetry, fiction and commentary--can push back against mankind's dismaying and recurring plunge toward misunderstanding and war. We invite submissions from progressives everywhere.
Started in 2003 by Richard Hopkins, Bill Pearlman and webmaster Gary Priester, RRR was launched as a response to the Iraq War and the neo-con takeover of world consciousness. As the new millennium advances, Leonard Bird is taking charge of RRR commentary. Bird is an atomic veteran whose Folding Paper Cranes, An Atomic Memoir is a living record of the potential for nuclear disaster as well as its potential remedies. Bill Pearlman, whose most recent collection of poetry is A Brazilian Incarnation -- New and Selected Poems 1967-2004, will continue to edit the poetry and fiction department. We also welcome our new webmaster, Stace Johnson, who will be a contributing editor. Although our old partner, Dick Hopkins has gone emeritus on us, he will continue to contribute commentary.
