I wake up each morning to Rough Road Review where I find the steadiest contributor, Bill Pearlman, has picked the plums from the day’s news and highlighted them for me. Bill, a South Bay beach boy, a volleyball All American at UCLA – the softest touch set man ever – a letterman at football, baseball, basketball .. you name it has traveled the world, met the famous and the fabulous, taught, acted, published and persisted in making life an adventure. You wouldn’t know this unassuming guy has done it all. I get to say it for him. I’ve known Bill for more years than either of us concede, and I could go on but I won’t.

Bill takes on another year today and those of us fortunate enough to fall within the circle of his friends know the year is lucky to have him. Happy Birthday Bill.
