I would have left

I would have left
The stars disorganized
Strewn
Bizarre
Unconstellated
As if bottles of light
Were freshly shattered
Every night
Then swept
Into a sun
At dawn.

I would have left fruits
To make their own way
Each one with its very own name
To be eaten only
After a dance.
I would have led
A drought resistant life
Never thinking somewhere
There was rain to get
Only
We get
The rain we’re meant to get.

I would have left
Walking backwards
In my own steps
Leaving no trace
And nothing
To regret.
