IRRESISTABLE

A t-shirt vendor alerted police to a car bomb in Times Square. Police cleared the area and removed the threat. All ended well. A reporter asks the t-shirt vendor if he felt good about what he had done. He looks at the reporter with thinly disguised contempt and says, “What do you think.” [Clearly not a question.] The reporter persists asking him what he would say to New Yorkers. He doesn’t respond. He may have a policy of not talking to people who have established that they are idiots or pretty close to it. The reporter continues: “What is your message to New Yorkers?” Without breaking stride or looking at the reporter the t-shirt vendor says: “See something; say something.”

The reporter should be fired and the t-shirt vendor should be offered the job. He probably wouldn’t take it and, if he did, he probably wouldn’t last. Too smart.

Yeah, saw that interview; amazing how unegotistical the vendor was; he wanted no credit, no fame, no time in front of the camera.
