Rep Joe Wilson(R-SC) yelled out at Obama's joint session of congress health care speech, 'you lie!' when Obama said illegal immigrants would not be covered in his plan. Wilson issued an apology and then called Rahm Emanuel to personally apologize to the president. Interesting that the town hall raging made it into the congress. The reportage on the piece brought a slew of comments about this kind of behavior and a few articulated the level of incivility (and racism) that is going on in the Republican party. One hopes we will get a reaction to these things that will work in favor of the president and his health plan. Here's one of the comments on the NY Times comment section after the piece:
