Well, here we go on health reform votes. About time, one says, and the whole brew is almost intolerable to listen to. I do like the idea that previously hard-fought legislation like Civil Rights (Voting Act) and Medicare were opposed with the idea that they could be repealed later on. Apparently not, and if this health package passes, even in its compromised form, it may stand the test of time. People now howling about government takeover may actually see the benefit of it. Surely, kids with previously uncovered illness, will see the difference. As will some of the 40 million now uninsured. Well, we'll know soon...
Have been watching the Indian Wells tennis on TV, and there have already been some good matches; especially liked the Nadal-Berdych the other night, with Nadal playing his best grinder game and returning most everything. Good play. Sonderling seemed to have Murray where he needed him. Roddick beat Robredo without too much trouble. Ljubicic is playing well, after some rough months. The semis today should be good.
Spring Equinox this weekend and the skies are clear hereabouts. Happy spring to all, and may the days bring transformations and joys.
