Okay, that's it. The last thread of respect that I had for McCain has been dissolved with his reference to Obama as "that one" in tonight's debate. Objectifying a debate opponent is supremely disrespectful, though I won't go so far as to say it was racist.
If McCain treats his peers like this, how would he treat foreign heads of state? Can our international reputation afford any more damage?

Well noted. And spoken by McCain with such stupid glee, to boot. Couple this with the insistent linkage (by Sara Barracuda) of Obama with a 60s Weatherman, who has been an Education Prof for many years, and you get an appalling last ditch effort to save what is surely the end of the road for McCain.

Yes, the "palling around with terrorists" thing is absurd. But it's working, in some respects. A friend sent me a link to a news article the other day, asking if Obama was really a terrorist or a Muslim, like Palin said he was. Palin hasn't even said anything about Obama's religious beliefs, as far as I know, but headlines make tongues wag.
